Meet Our Software Development Intern: Madasin Garrison

We would like to introduce everyone to our Software Development Intern, Madasin Garrison! Madasin is a senior in high school and a member of the National Technical Honor Society and National Honor Society. She holds the title of state champion for the SkillsUSA Computer Programmer competition in Pennsylvania, where she also achieved a position in the top 15 at the national level. 

Madasin’s interest in computer science was sparked at a very young age. As a child, she focused on games that allowed her to create projects through wiring mechanics in various games. Gradually, she worked towards developing more advanced projects as she learned about different game mechanics. She has always enjoyed the freedom of creating her own projects in sandbox environments. 

When we asked Madasin what she has learned since starting at PS Solutions, she said, ‘PS Solutions has taught me a lot more about software development than I ever expected, and I enjoy how well-rounded everything I learn here is. Rather than just being limited to front or back-end coding, I get to work on a bit of everything here, and I really enjoy that flexibility.’ 

Since Madasin started, she has been an invaluable member of our team. We are so grateful to have someone with her determination and skillset on board.   

As someone so young and motivated, we wanted to gain some insight from Madasin on what advice she has for young girls who are also interested in pursuing a career in science. She said, ‘I’d advise someone my age to research the different types of development they can do and find out what kinds of projects they would specifically like to work on, since many don’t realize just how many options there are within computer science.’ 

When Madasin isn’t in school or working with us you can find her on the ice-skating rink! In her free time, she likes to participate in performance figure skating and general ice-skating! 

We are so excited to have Madasin on our team. Her determination, skill set, and passion for learning contribute significantly to our work environment. She undoubtedly has a bright future ahead, and we can’t wait to continue watching her grow!
